It was awfully quiet in the apartment.

Too quiet.

Tock and Whiz crept out from their hidey-hole where they had been sheltering from Lily’s coffee fuelled katana rampage. Who ever thought it was a good idea to give the already giddy lunatic a powerful stimulant?

Whiz turned to Tock with a quizzical expression creeping across her face ‘Where’d Lily go?’

Tock shrugged ‘No idea. ‘Spose we should make the most of the peace and quiet?’

Whiz frowned at Tock. Sure it was nice for them to not constantly fear for their lives and the welfare of their kitchen appliances for once, but they couldn’t help but feel that it was just the calm before the storm.

A loud knock at the door.

‘I knew it was too good to be true…’ Whiz sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. She headed to the door, swallowing hard. Either it was Lily and her latest discovery of modern culture or local wildlife in tow or someone complaining about Lily and her latest discovery of modern culture or local wildlife in tow. ‘Here’s hoping it’s not a bear from the zoo again.’

Whiz opened the door and was greeted with the sight of two surly policemen – one with crossed arms, tapping his fingers impatiently against his biceps and another equally curt and dishevelled looking chap.

‘Good evenin’, mam.’

‘Officer Plott and Sergeant Twiste, err…fancy seeing you here!’

‘Nuff of the pleasantries. We need to ask you a few questions’ Twiste interrupted.

Whiz winced as Tock peered from behind the drapes he’d been cowering behind.

‘Know a girl named Lily?’ Plott growled.

Whiz paused for a moment. *I could lie* she thought *Just say I’ve never heard of her and be done with it…FREEDOM*

‘What did she do now…’ Tock piped up, much to the dismay of Whiz.

‘I think you’d better come with us.’

~~*~~

‘TOCK! WHIZ!’ Lily cheered brightly as she swung from a giant magnetic crane.

‘LILY!’ Whiz shrieked.

‘Lily how the hell did you get up there!?’ Tock yelled up at her, firstly wondering how she managed to get up there to begin with and furthermore how they’d get her down... that is if they even wanted to get her down. At least up there she was kinda staying out of trouble and not wreaking havoc on the locals.

‘I ‘unno. But it’s FUN! Who knew I had such a… MAGNETIC… personality!’ Lily cackled, swinging her legs so that the suspended magnet creaked at its joints as she swayed violently. It wasn’t coping too well with her heavy chest armour. She just had to pick an ionised iron plate didn’t she. Lily didn’t quite get what Tock had meant by “Ironing laundry”.

‘Jesus Christ, Lily…’

‘I CAN’T HELP BEIN’ SO ATTRACTIVE!!’ She giggled inanely.

Whiz turned to the police officers who hadn’t altered their glaring demeanour since arriving at their flat. They gestured to Lily. ‘Mind reclaiming your lost property?’ Plott stated flatly.

‘I don’t know officer, she might actually stay out of trouble up there…’ Tock mused loudly.

‘…You do have a point’ Twiste replied.

The magnetic crane started slowing down as Lily was becoming increasingly dizzy. She noticed the humans down below her were starting towards the exit of the construction site. ‘Uhh…guys? Don’t leave me…HANGIN’!’

She howled with laughter as Whiz and Tock cringed externally. Suddenly there was a whirring of machinery and a loud clang of metal striking the ground behind them. Whiz and Tock span round and saw a crumpled Lily lying in the dust after the magnet had finally been switched off since the disgruntled workers returned from their impromtpu sandwich break.

‘LILY!’ Whiz yelled as she and Tock raced to Lily’s side.

‘Oh my God, Lily are you okay!?’ Tock bellowed.

There were several beats of awkward silence. Whiz and Tock looked between each other and a sprawling Lily. How the hell would they be able to fix her?

Suddenly there was some pained shifting and a loud groan.

‘…This amusement park is no fun. At all. I want muh money back.’
Lily gets up to no good again. Whiz and Tock, the couple that she has forcibly taken up residence with, had been caught up in a debacle involving fruit and Lily's katana. They never really understood the connection. They just hid and hoped that she'd either get tired or bored and eventually stop trying to hack the flat apart. At least that's what they thought would happen...
